Proximal Femur Deficiency

Proximal femur deficiency is hard to treat but possible with special expertise. I use my modified small external arc fixation system, Salamehfix, for treatment.

This severe case required multiple stages of treatment and achieved good results. Treatment began at 4 years old and involved several stages of proximal femur reconstruction, hip reduction, maintaining hip reduction, and femur lengthening up to 15 cm. Additionally, axial deviation was corrected, and the knee joint was protected from contracture using my special arc hinges.

However, this case requires follow-up until skeletal maturity.
