Cosmetic Lengthening is a very fine work which must be done by an experienced external fixation specialist , My experience using the new hinge system gives a very good results because of a good tolerable system used ; small size system with hinges which allows correction of axial deviations during treatment.
 

Young man 32 yrs, 160 cm height, had cosmetic lengthening 13 cm with correction of a slight bowing of knees, you can see pictures and x-rays before and after lengthening and correction of bowing. Walking and exercises is possible from first day after operation, after one month of lengthening this young man could walk without crouches due to perfect stability of the system and without pain because the way of entrance of wires and screws directly to bone avoiding muscle irritation ; this means tolerance to this system is very high.
